Walk Main Street and eat near the Cass River Friday, visit Bronner’s and the village Saturday, then use Sunday for breakfast and the Frankenmuth Historical Museum.

By Cal Mercer — a Second Star Guide itinerary

Frankenmuth’s weekend runs from Bavarian-style Main Street to Bronner’s, the Cass River, Holz Brücke, and the town’s chicken-dinner dining rooms.

Best length

2 nights

Two nights allow one arrival dinner, a full Bronner’s-and-village Saturday, and a short museum or riverfront stop after Sunday breakfast.

Stay

Bavarian Inn Lodge

A 360-room riverfront resort with family and whirlpool suites, multiple dining choices, an adults-only pool…

Best stretch

Bronner’s owns the first half of Saturday; Main Street, the covered bridge, and one chicken dinner complete the village portion of the day.
